College Football Playoff expansion , but the first set of rankings for the 2022 season is already providing ample ammo for those who claim it should expand sooner.The surprising inclusion of Clemson in the top four has left Michigan on the outside looking in despite the dominant nature of its season to this point. Michigan's non-conference schedule was undoubtedly a determining factor in that decision.
